If New York City can make an iPhone line, so can Japan

by Josh Holat on Jul 9, 2008 at 05:14 PM

iPhone Japan LineA man by the name of Hiroyuki Sano has started a line at the Apple Softbank flagship store in Japan, and will be the first to have a legit Asian iPhone. Serkan Toto over at CrunchGear was lucky enough to interview him, and he found out some interesting details about just how much this man wants his iPhone. For example, he traveled 230 miles from his hometown and skipped four days of college to be able to get his key spot in line. Also, his travel fees cost him a total of $213, more than the 8GB iPhone itself. This man is dedicated.

Now that we officially have two publicly noticed lines, one here and one in New York City, it is making me even more anxious for July 11th. Despite complaints about a higher data price and not many new hardware features, I still believe the iPhone 3G is going to be a huge hit. It has hype.It has fanboys. And it likes to be touched. Are you ready?
