iBank 3.1 offers a slew of upgrades
iBank, from IGG Software, is now at version 3.1 and offers plenty of new features to the already outstanding Mac OS X financial manager. You can download a free trial from their site, and a single license that comes with a 30 day guarantee costs $59.99 for new users and $29.99 for upgrading users (if you purchased iBank from a retail store after January 14, 2008, you qualify to upgrade to version 3 at no additional cost). This application requires Mac OS X 10.5 or higher and 30MB of free space.
Some of the new features in version 3.1 include:
- iBank can now connect to your bank “behind the scenes” and import your data for you.
- Using the latest Web 2.0 technologies, you can view historical transactions and create and edit new ones with your iPhone or iPod Touch while you’re on the go.
- Cover Flow on iBank: you can view, edit, and flip through your transactions while seeing how you spent (or earned) your money with gorgeous category images.
- Export your tax records to TurboTax and other tax software, plus assign tax numbers to your categories for easy tracking.
- Easily manage loans and other debt with scheduled payment plans.
This sounds like the last financial manager app you could ever need, if you ask me. It has hundreds of great features, and the screenshots showcase a gorgeous interface. If you use this app or have seen it in action before, let us know what it’s like!
