Apple Black Friday

If you’ve been reading Appletell for the last week, you know there were lots of great Black Friday deals on Apple’s products. Apple hasn’t offically relased a statement of how well they did, but we have a few stats:

  • ComScore stats show that Apple saw a 39 per cent increase in traffic to its retail website and a 11 per cent increase compared to 2008’s Black Friday traffic
  • InternetVista measured the uptime and response time of 6 major online shopping destinations. (Amazon.com, Apple.com, Barnesandnoble.com, Dell.com, Target.com, ToysRus.com and Walmart.com) ToysRus.com had a 99.905 per cent uptime, but all others had 100 per cent uptime
  • Apple’s products held three out of four of Amazon.com slots in the ‘Computers and Accessories Wish List. (None first place: ASUS EE PC had that.)
  • With traffic flying up and Apple not showing any downtime, I guess we can now say there isn’t any reason to go into a store. Except maybe to test out the product…but Appletell has reviews for that.
