Waiting for a MacBook line update from Apple before you go out and purchase yours? Well, your wait will (most likely) end in September, according to a recent rumor. A post over at ComputerWorld has some juicy details on these updates. According to them, the new MacBooks will be thinner and more round compared to the previous version, which is no surprise. However, what is more interesting is the trackpad. According to the rumor, the trackpad will be glass and will support multi-touch and gestures.
Although the screen won’t be touch, this is definitely a step in that direction. With the success of the iPhone as a multi-touch platform, Apple will definitely one day bring that to their notebooks. However, as Apple usually does, they won’t release the multi-touch screen version of their notebook line until it works (nearly) perfectly. When that day comes, it’s going to be awesome.
