Get a “manila envelope” sleeve for your MacBook Air

by Stephen Chinnadorai on Jan 17, 2008 at 03:16 PM

Manilla SleeveNever underestimate how far a Mac fan will go to bring something seen in Steve Jobs’ hands into your hands. Remember when Steve first showed the MacBook Air? He pulled it out of an envelope known as a “manilla envelope” - the crowd laughed, but at the same time were stunned out how thin this product was. So it was inevitable to see that the AirMail has been released. It’s basically an identical envelope to the one that Steve showed on stage; and the one that is featured in the new MacBook Air ad. Each “hand made” bag costs $29.95 (US) and they will begin shipping them in two weeks, the same day the MacBook Air is released.

The manila envelope sleeve is probably not the most practical laptop case available - and I’m sure there will be plenty of competition from the regulars like Griffin and Be.ez. But you’ll definitely be making a point by taking your laptop out of this envelope.

This one is cool, too. But i have one sleeve myself from 10UTRIO. My girlfriend bought it in Austria. It fits perfect and it is called Brutus Blue.

Funny origami thing and without zipper.
