GearLive 1.1.3 Q&A

by Stephen Chinnadorai on Jan 4, 2008 at 11:56 AM

iPhone About ScreenGearLive have caused quite a stir in the internet recently, after posting a video that showed iPhone Firmware version 1.1.3 functioning. GearLive has answered some of the questions that viewers have left on their forums - concerning all sorts of matters. The biggest question for me is whether to believe this or not - it looks so real that it must be true - but is it? It’s obvious that 1.1.3 is not complete yet, as Andru mentioned that it has crashed several times; it even crashed in the video. Maybe this firmware is just a tester from Apple and some features may be removed. The 3D graphics looked nice, but slowed the system down - so maybe Apple will be lighter on those in the full release.

Some interesting questions are answered by Andru, which we hope are answered truthfully. Some little things that users want like increasing the ring volume, bringing A2DP support and saving files to disk are still missing. Let’s hope for 1.1.3 to be released at MacWorld this year - maybe with an early release of the developer’s SDK.
