iPhone App Reviews
iPhone Apps. They were great when the App Store was first announced and we could all pick and chose what we wanted, but the number is now overwhelming. Here at Appletell, we'll detail the great iPhone apps we find, and steer you clear from those that aren't worth it even if they're free.

In what appears to be an attempt to remind me of all the toys I never got as a kid, Freeverse has announced the release of SlotZ Racer for the iPhone and iPod touch. Developed by Strange Flavour, “... SlotZ Racer puts the thrill of realistic 3D slot cars in the palm of your hand. Relive those great childhood memories of building tracks, burning rubber, and racing with your friends and family!”
Yeah, unless your family never bought you the big track you wanted because they had to pay for your brother’s braces. Thanks a lot, Freeverse. Jerks.
The unique control system mentioned above is a button. That’s it, just like the real thing. You push a button to make your car move, and you release it to slow down. The gameplay therefore centers around not taking curves too quickly, lest you fly off the track. Because of this simple approach, four people can play on a single iPhone simultaneously by each pressing a button in a corner. Who knew invading each other’s personal space could be so much fun?
SlotZ Racer is available now for iPhone and iPod Touch at an introductory price of just $.99. This special pricing will only last for three days, after which the game will be priced at $2.99.
