Last week started out kind of slow as far as quality free apps are concerned, but don’t worry, I still found a bunch of gems during the week. This time the apps actually outnumber the games; what a thought.

• Streamer - Allows you to set up a web location for your Mac and enable streaming of your EyeTV and TiVo clips thanks to Roxio. Too bad you have to be on WiFi to get it to work (note you also have to have Toast Titanium with Streamer running at all times). Now, if you guys could just get the live view working with the EyeTV from afar ala Sling, I’d be forever grateful.
• Superpages - Why use the White, Yellow or Pink Pages when you could use superpages? I’m not quite sure why anyone would want anything less than pages that are super. Anyway, use this app to track down some businesses, people or locations. You even get map functionality with directions, and movie details with trailers in addition to the phone numbers you’ve come to expect!
• Learn Chess - With over 100 pages of instruction, this might be a better way to learn how to play chess than for your friend to beat you in four moves repeatedly. It’s actually better than a book since you can interact with the 91 chess diagrams just like you’re playing. If there’s one classic board game you should know how to play, it’s chess.
• Yummy Browser - Not a recipe aggregator, though that sounds like a good idea. It’s a Delicious app to carry your bookmarks in your pocket. Bookmarks open in Safari.
• Megaphone - Clearly not as cool as the giant plastic microphone things you had as a kid that oddly changed your voice. But, if you’re too cheap to buy a real mic and still need one, this could be useful. Basically, it takes the mic in your iPhone and outputs that audio through the headphones, just like it was a mic. Got an FM transmitter? Then make it a wireless mic.
• Tower Bloxx Deluxe 3D Free - Build a wacky skyscraper in this cartoonish construction game. You get to test out a few of the different game modes with this version for free. The graphics are great, it really has that Wii feel and look to it.
• Deal or No Deal Million Dollar Missions - Deal or No Deal, Deal or No Deal, Deal or No Deal…that’s pretty much the whole game. Try your hand at dumb luck. The million has to be in one of those cases, and since they aren’t actually paying you, maybe it’s in a few!
