The big news this week is, of course, Boxee’s remote app. It’s free and it helps you control Boxee, a social media application, with your iPhone or iPod touch. If you use Boxee on a regular basis, then this is the app to install this week. Beyond that, I have some games for you to try out, as well.

• Time Crisis Strike Lite - I don’t know how this could possibly be as fun as a dark arcade hall with a blow-back action plastic light gun, but it’s free, and it’s Time Crisis. Tilt to take cover, tap to shoot, play in public while talking to yourself to look insane.
• Circle Lite - A circular brick breaking game. It’s all based on rotating your iDevice, like this game wasn’t difficult enough as it was in the first place.
• Little Red Sled 3D - Winter is almost over, but I know you miss it before it’s even gone. Who doesn’t miss cold weather and huge piles of snow? I know you think I’m kidding, but I’m not. That said, this is the fastest sled racer on the App Store, though I tend to think it might be the only one as well.
• X-Plane Helicopter LITE - How do you take an impressive flight simulator and make a free version for trying out? The last idea that comes to my mind is restrict it to 35 seconds, but that’s what I gather is the case here. It’s enough to get a feel for the game, but annoying enough to get you to buy it if you enjoy it.
• X-Plane Racing LITE - Another demo game from X-Plane, this one is the racing flavor of flight simulator. The limitations are not listed, but I’m betting there is only one race available. Still, you can try it out fully, even with multiplayer.
• Spin that Bottle - If you’re anything like me, then you often find yourself sitting with a bunch of hot, yet bored, girls in a circle on the ground. Don’t let this situation pass by again, be prepared! Spin the bottle simplifies the process of having to drink an entire bottle of anything so that it can be spun. No need to thank me.
• Boxee remote - You probably already heard that this was out, but it bears repeating. This is the remote to have for everyone’s favorite social media player. Use it to navigate menus and enter text, all for free. Nice.
