Free Apps roundup for June 12th, 2009
It’s finally here: the Delicious Library app for iPhone. And thank God; it was a last minute save, really. This week was a little less than spectacular as far as free apps are concerned, but I managed to scrape together a few interesting apps and games for your enjoyment.
- Delicious Library - It’s great on the Mac, and it’s almost as good on the iPhone. You can’t do super sweet stuff like scanning or anything…yet. I remember talking with Wil Shipley at Macworld about this app, and actually got a chance to preview it. It’s fun, it’s free (if you have Delicious Library) and there’s more in store. And just for the record, about that image over there…Wil Shipley really is your friend.
- ShamWowLite - Listen up all you Vince wannabes, you’re gunna be saying “wow” as soon as you launch this one. Not only do you get to make the mess, but you get to clean it up, too! It sells itself. And before long, you’ll be loving my nuts…oh wait, that’s the slap chop. So wait, I guess we have more to look forward to? If only there was a “purchase ShamWows” button right in the app.
- Free Chess - It’s chess…for free. Five levels of strong AI with support for saving, undo and redo, and various customizations. Not too shabby for a free chess game.
- Type Emoji - If you didn’t install Emoji yet, what are you waiting for? Type Emoji enables all of those cute little emoji emotion icons that you’ll instantly fall in love with. Before long, you’ll feel insufficient just typing :), which is so last year.
- Crop for Free - There aren’t too many instances where you would need to crop an image before you get it back to your Mac, but if you need it, you need it now. So, here you have it. You can crop and rotate your images right on your iPhone. Simple and effective.
- x-Shot Lite - Here comes a piece of my childhood flying in your face. Try to get the strangely shaped pieces to the opponent’s side of the table without the same happening to yourself. But don’t call it Crossfire, otherwise you’ll get caught up in the…
