Free Apps roundup for August 28th, 2009

Free Apps roundup for August 28th, 2009Today Apple released Snow Leopard.  I guess you can’t get everything for free, but that’s all right because I’ve found more apps to keep your iPhone’s app habit in check without touching your wallet. Check out this week’s list…

  • Tweedle - What!? You haven’t picked a Twitter client yet? Not likely, but perhaps you’d like to give one more a try. This one has support for pics and vids and all the standard stuff.
  • Maya 3D Lite - Seeing as the Mayan calendar is coming to an end in a few short years, you’d better download this one now and play around with this really cool looking app. It’s like a set of gears that line up and tell you the day in the cycle.
  • Gullible - An app named Gullible that claims to give you a nearly endless supply of fun facts is a bit hard to swallow. I make no guarantees to the accuracy of said “facts,” but it’s fun nonetheless.
  • Dictionary Free - It’s one of the only free dictionaries that doesn’t require a network connection. It has over 140 thousand definitions, so you can look up the meanings of words like “obfuscated” and “fiduciary.”
  • MicroPool Free - Don’t call it a pool game, you’ll hurt its feelings. It’s a sophisticated pool simulator. Pool is always fun, and this is just one of the many ways you can have it in your pocket.
  • ChordmasterLE - Here’s a guitar chord library from the good folks at Planet Waves. It displays and plays tons of chords for your use in songs that likely won’t help your attempts to interest the opposite sex.  But that’s ok, because a sad song is good every once and a while too.  And I’m sure this has the chords for that too.
