Add another win for iPhone gaming, as Star Wars: The Force Unleashed will be released for the popular touch screen device in mid September. CrunchGear has gotten their hands on a preview of the game, and says, “It’s a very cool game and an ingenious way of using the touchscreen.” Furthermore, although it is still a work in progress, they didn’t notice any major glitches with it. Now you can fight the force with more than just a light saber.
Bringing this title to the iTunes App Store would mark the release of yet another fully featured game for this platform. On top of Sega’s Super Monkey Ball, there are also plenty of smaller games such as Crash Bandicoot Racing, Tetris, and other classics. As more and more large titles like this come out for the iPhone and iPod Touch, the devices get closer to becoming legitimate gaming platforms.
