Earthscape will soon be launching an uber cool application for the iPhone that gives the similar feature as Google Earth. Dubbed as iPhone Earth, this application was developed using the iPhone SDK by Earthscape.
Using the iPhone’s accelerometer, the application will give user the ability to pan around and zoom in, tilt and rotate the 3D map-view as they like.If released according to their plan, we might see the light of the iPhone Earth on the next version of the iPhone. And this suits well with the 3G feature of the new iPhone since using the application would require a lot of bandwidth.
Earthscape hasn’t given out too many details about the iPhone Earth, but if you want to see how it works, here’s a short video demonstration of the iPhone Earth in action, courtesy of the Google Earth Blog.
