Although I’m not personally a fan of photo cards, this isn’t because I’m against the idea. It’s because the photos generally have that phony, staged feel of shopping mall photography centers, and because they’re just too expensive to bother with when I’m already overloaded with gift purchases (especially considering most photo centers require a minimum purchase). Thankfully, HappyHolidays! makes it easy to create personalized photo cards, perfect for sending to family and friends for any occasion. With HappyHolidays!, users can take any digital photo and add a background and a personal message to build a customized photo card. The software makes it easy to vary each card, so you can customize them for each recipient.
Unlike the type of pre-designed cards you order from photo centers, HappyHolidays! is not limited to a set number of characters or lines for personalized messages. It works just like a word processor, offering much more freedom to lay out the text of the message. And, you can personalize messages in any language supported by Mac OS X.
HappyHolidays! allows users to easily e-mail a photo card using Apple’s Mail application by converting it into a jpeg file and attaching it to a new Mail message. At any time, users may print their photo cards on their own color printer at home. No worries if you don’t have a decent printer; you can save your cards as hi-res jpegs and print them at your local photo center as normal prints.

I have to say, equinux’s Stationery Pack is a much better app for creating personalized and customized email cards and postcards. With hundreds of sophisticated and attractive template ideas, it’s the best software I’ve seen on the market in this particular field.
