Component shortages on several Apple products

According to ThinkSecret, a handful of Apple products are currently facing component shortages. The LED-displays on the latest line of 15-inch MacBook Pros seems to be causing the biggest backlog of orders; expect to wait between 7 - 10 days for it. If you want a MacBook Pro urgently, the 17-inch model looks like the way to go for now, as supplies of this model are currently plentiful.

Also of interest is the Bluetooth keyboard that was introduced at the Special Event earlier in August, which is currently estimated to ship in approximately 3-4 weeks. Assuming those figures are accurate, customers can expect the keyboard in late September or early October. The cause of this delay is unknown at present.
