Bowtie offers yet another way to control your iTunes music

by Josh Holat on Dec 7, 2008 at 08:40 PM

Bowtie Application
Don’t want to control your music with iSight gestures? FrontRow not your style either? Sick of the usual iTunes interface and can’t find a Boxee invite? Bowtie may be your next favorite application for iTunes. It allows users to create system-wide hot key combinations to control your music with. Furthermore, it not only integrates with Last.fm, it also features customizable interfaces. For these interfaces, you can either download themes from MacThemes or create your own using CSS and JavaScript code.

This application is relatively new and may still be in beta. That said, it works really well for what it does because it’s simple and unobtrusive. Also, you can choose what it displays by creating your own theme that includes only what you want in it. Still, if this app isn’t enough for you, you can always check out Cover Stream to suit your needs. Try them out and let us know what your favorite is. Or, better yet, let us know of any other ones that you use!
