Big plans for Apple with iPhone and Macs

by Colbert Low Boon Leng on Jun 13, 2007 at 10:30 PM

It would be Apple’s third major business if the iPhone becomes a hit. This would help Apple generate more sales in a market besides computers and digital music. The iPhone is a combination of smartphone, web browser and portable media player. It has wireless networking for easy internet access. In addition, the iPhone would support Web 2.0 applications and that users could have a variety of applications other than those just from Apple.

Besides the iPhone, Apple also introduced Leopard, a new OS that contains more than 300 new features, most of which we have covered. With the new Mac OS, there will be a new web browser, Safari 3 which could be run on both Windows PCs and Macs. Apple plans to have the iPhone available in Europe and Asia in the near future. The iPhone will retail at $499 with 4GB storage and $599 with 8GB of storage.
