We wrote about the Beatles coming to iTunes on Monday, but this rumor may not be true. We previously reported that Paul McCartney has a $400 million deal with iTunes to put the Beatles on iTunes. The deal would be wonderful because old fans would buy the music again and a younger audience would discover the band’s music. This rumor floated around the web very quickly, but Billboard has a different scoop:
This rumor of the Beatles’ catalog on iTunes has been around for years now, and Paul feels, “pretty sure it’ll be happening [in 2008]”.
