Appletell giveaway: WordsWorth for iPhone, iPod touch

by Kirk Hiner on Mar 10, 2009 at 04:06 PM

How much is a word worth? $1.99, to be precise. That’s the price of 99Games’ WordsWorth app for iPhone/iPod touch, and that’s what we’re giving away this week. Three copies, to be exact, and all you have to do to win yours is tell us your favorite word.

WordsWorth

From our WordsWorth review:

[Wordsworth is] a word game from 99games that’s well suited for the iPhone’s touch screen, and better suited for those who savor “The Joy of Lex.” The game presents you with a grid of tiles, each containing a letter. The grid ranges from 4x4 to 7x7, depending upon your preference. It’s your job to link the letter tiles to form words. You can’t move the tiles, though, and the letters of the word must be touching each other in the order in which the word is spelled. The longer the word and the more rare the letters in the word, the more points you get. It’s a lot like Scrabble in that way, only you’re forced to find words instead of create them.

If you’re the target audience for WordsWorth (and you know who you are), the game delivers.

WordsWorth

Sound like your thing? Then to enter for the chance to win one of three copies for your iPhone or iPod touch, first read the Dabbledoo, LLC Giveaway Rules, then simply respond in the comments below with your favorite word. That’s it. You can let us know why, if you like, and you can include a definition, but it’s not necessary. All that’s necessary is that you keep it clean. This is a highbrow game, after all, so there’s no need for lowbrow humor.

The Appletell staff will select our favorites this weekend, from which the winners will be chosen at random. The winners will be notified by e-mail (so be sure you include your name and e-mail when entering), and will then be sent promo codes which they can use to download the game for free via iTunes.
