Apple Special Event planned for September 9th? [Update]
MacRumors is collecting some rumors in one article about a possible date for Apple’s next new product announcement. All sources seem to converge on September 9th.
Originally, MacRumors had listed this event as an unverified rumor and didn’t pay a lot of attention to it. But since Kevin Rose, ArsTechnica, and Brian Lam from Gizmodo have all voiced their info and have pretty much agreed on September 9th, they, and we, are paying a little more attention.
All rumors seem to point to an iPod nano redesign, with a wider (taller) screen, and an upgrade of sorts to the iPod Touch, possibly with GPS. Rumors have also been flying about upgrades and redesigns for the MacBook line.
While this is still just a rumor, I’m beginning to get excited. What do you want to see released from Apple in the coming months? I’m still hoping for a MacBook Touch of sorts, though I’m not holding my breath.
[Update] 9to5Mac says that Apple doesn’t plan to mix announcements of iPods with MacBooks. Their sources say late September for the MacBook announcements. Oh rumors, don’t you love’em?

on September 2, 2008 at 10:40 AM - LINKYeah, I totally agree. I’d love to see a Blu Ray drive in a mac mini. I’ve been wanting a Mac solely for connecting to my TV for a while now, and I’ve been waiting for a new Mac Mini. That would be awesome.
