Apple Retail Stores set to open at 8AM permanetly for iPhone 3G

by Josh Holat on Jul 28, 2008 at 01:55 PM

iPhone 3GDue to the high demand for the iPhone 3G, Apple’s retail stores are now set to open at 8 AM, two hours earlier than normal, for a while. On top of this, Apple continues, “We’re also adding staff to help you get up and running as quickly as possible.” It’s great that Apple is taking steps to help get all their iPhones out of the door, but I believe they should work on getting some improved software out there more quickly. That way all of the new customers can enjoy their new iPhone to the fullest instead of having to deal with bugs.

Along with the earlier opening, some Apple stores has been giving rain checks to iPhone customers. The reason for this is to stagger the purchases so that they all don’t come in right at the store opening. Also, customers will no longer have to miss other important commitments to wait in line for their phone. Apple says that rain checks are good until 6 PM. Now get out there and get your iPhone, everyone’s doing it!
