Apple responds to Laptop Hunter ads

In the ongoing battle between Microsoft ads and Apple ads, Apple has played their latest card. In a series of their three latest adsCustomer Care, Elimination, and PC Choice ChatApple takes parts in the usual Mac versus PC battle. However, Elimination is clearly a direct blow at Microsoft’s Laptop Hunter ads. In this ad, PC has numerous other PCs behind him and a woman is telling PC what she is looking for in her computer. When she mentions that she doesn’t want crashing or viruses, all of the PCs quickly make their way off of the screen. Very clever, Apple.
With this blow from Apple, the ad war is becoming even more intense. This may be the first time in a while that Microsoft has actually been able to compete with Apple in their commercials, and it is very fun and interesting to see it play out. Considering that Mac OS X Snow Leopard and Windows 7 are on their way, I believe the ads are just going to keep on coming. And I can’t wait.
