Apple execs reward themselves with large bonuses

Apple Execs Bonuses

Apple had a great year last year. And the Apple Executives have decided that they deserve some sort of reward. Chief Financial Officer Peter Oppenheimer, usually receives a $600,000 a year salary. Not bad. However, all that seems like peanuts when he got a $600,000 bonus in addition to his regular salary, bringing his total income for the year up to $1.2 million. Also, Chief Operating Officer Timothy Cook received a $700,000 salary, and a bonus that doubled that to $1.4 million. Steve Jobs however, continues to get a $1 a year salary, but Apple’s Compensation Committee is considering paying some sort of bonus to Steve Jobs. Most of the money Jobs gets comes from his 5.5 million Apple stocks.
