Apple cleans up at British Technology Awards

by Kirk Hiner on Oct 10, 2008 at 11:20 AM

British Technology AwardsThe results of this year’s British Technology Awards are skewed so heavily towards Apple that I have to wonder if Steve Jobs wasn’t maybe a judge. Actually, the results were determined by “... thousands of votes ...” so it may be a fanboy thing. Still, having such rabid fanboys is certainly better for business than simply impressing a handful of men and women who sit around labs and pick apart technology all day.

The winning Apple products are:

  • Best Mobile Technology: iPhone
  • Best Music Technology: iTunes
  • Gadget of the Year: iPhone
  • Most Stylish Technology: iPhone
  • Technological Innovation of the Year: iPhone

Hmmm. Does anyone remember when Apple’s computers used to win awards? Does anyone remember Apple’s computers? If not, the event next Tuesday for the new MacBooks may serve as a great reminder.
