Apple announces iPod, 5GB
Apple announces yet another new product today, dubbed the iPod. The glossy white device, surprisingly enough, is only a digital music player. You’re probably thinking “I’ve seen tons of those before, how is this innovating?”. And the answer is, it isn’t. Apple has really pulled an unoriginal product this time that is sure to fail and be discontinued. Admittedly, the company has loaded a few amazing features onto the little machine, such as a Clock, and an EQ. And hey, the thing is even smaller than a deck of cards, so you can put it in your pocket without having an obnoxious outline. The player holds a whopping 5GB of storage, more than we’ve seen in any other player. The iPod’s drive is only 1/3rd the size of my computer’s drive, allowing all my music, and anyone else’s music if they don’t have over 5GB (who has that much anyway?). Music can be loaded onto the iPod using iTunes and music ripped from your CDs. With 10 hours of battery life, a sexy scroll wheel, and cool white earbuds no one else has, the iPod is hard to pass up. You can get 1000 songs in your pocket today for just $399 on the Apple online store or your local Apple Authorized Dealer.
