iPhone App Reviews
iPhone Apps. They were great when the App Store was first announced and we could all pick and chose what we wanted, but the number is now overwhelming. Here at Appletell, we'll detail the great iPhone apps we find, and steer you clear from those that aren't worth it even if they're free.

What is it?
A simple cartoon-like flight simulator based around 1950s landmarks, simple controls and addictive gameplay.
How does it work?
It’s quite simple really. You use the accelerometer to fly an airplane through various settings while trying to avoid many different obstacles. The sensitivity of the controls takes a little while to get used to, but after a couple of goes, it’s simple enough. The physics engine behind the controls make the plane’s movements quite realistic for its setting in the game. Of course, there’s no instrument panel or anything that takes more than a few goes to master; left, right, up and down are all controlled by the accelerometer.
If you manage to survive the level without hitting the obstacles, you move onto the next level. In principal, each level is pretty similar, although there are some obstacles, such as coins or atoms (yes, stereotypical-looking atoms) that gain you points or temporary boosts, respectively. The graphics are cartoon-based, with limited detail. There’s certainly no 3D world to explore here, just the single room of the particular level that you’re playing in (it appears that the room moves, and the plan stays stationary - similar to running on a treadmill). Still, nothing to complain about. It’s quite obvious that Rock, Paper Airplane is a simple game, and there’s no denying that it can be fun in short bursts. In some cases, it can be quite addictive.
Features
App it Up, Sum it Up
If you’re looking for a fun little game to pass the time, you might want to consider purchasing Rock, Paper, Airplane. There are no amazing graphics or ground-breaking physics engine here, just pure simple fun in a basic gameplay setting that’s sure to kill a few minutes every so often and keep you coming back for more.
Cost: $0.99
Worth the price? I’d like to think so. Some people will love this game, others won’t look at it twice. For 99 cents, it’s worth a playyou’ll feel inclined to move through the levels more than you might think.
