Aluminum iMac faces shipping delays

Aluminum iMac

It seems like the new aluminum iMacs that Apple released not too long ago are slowly trickling into the hands of eager buyers. According to ThinkSecret, component shortages are causing delays in a lot of these shipments. Unfortunately, it’s not clear which component is to blame, but sources say production should return to full-steam by early September.

Several ThinkSecret readers have also stated that their iMacs, which were ordered more than a week ago have not been shipped. If you’re thinking of buying an iMac, the online Apple Store currently lists the 20-inch models as shipping within 3-5 businesss days while the 24-inch models are at 5-7 business days. Are you thinking of buying one?
