A quick MobileMe update
It seems Apple has finally fixed MobileMe’s Mail. David G. is back to give us the news via Apple’s MobileMe Status Page update #3.
We have completed restoring Mail service, including historical messages, to all of the 1% of affected members. Thank you all for your extreme patience during this trying time.
Apple also resolved other MobileMe issues. There was a bug with syncing of contacts and calendars over the air to the iPhone and iPod Touch that was addressed.
Apple will be working on other issues as soon as possible and plans another update to the MobileMe Status page later this week.

And what a BUG “There was a bug with syncing of contacts and calendars over the air to the iPhone and iPod Touch that was addressed.” It simply erased the phone numbers of my iphone in the middle of a field work day. What a MESS!!!
on July 30, 2008 at 05:11 PM - LINKI was actually thinking there was too much criticism, since the service of online contacts is an old .mac service, and they just added the iphone on the equation and that made the hole thing goes: PUf!
I don’t think so, that was bad IT, really bad IT. As ans long time apple user an with a satisfaction rate of 9,5 for the year, i would say apple is now thinking of the Almighty dollar to much. and by loss of standarts comes loss of clients. Extremely those who pay premium prices for all their best services and equipments. And i am from Brazil, where i have to travel to the US to buy my Computers. Had to Crack my iphone so that i could use it. I for one am not going to buy de 3g option, it’s almost the same specs, and at least in my pwn 2.0 firm the soft kind of drags.
A sluggish start…it seems like it will flow through to the end though.. http://blabtech.blogspot.com
on July 31, 2008 at 01:56 AM - LINKWell Mobile Me web mail is still down for some people although it works in Mail.app now. I just talked to a support rep and this is what he said:
on August 2, 2008 at 01:02 AM - LINKMe: I am unable to access Mobile Me web mail. I just get a blank page. Everything else works fine.
Apple: The me.com is a known concern that we have been tracking today.
Apple: It has been reported to engineering and i can add your account name to that affected list.
Apple: I do not have an ETA on a fix, though.
Me: I just saw that all services were up and running on the mobile me support page
Me: the status indicator that is
Apple: Engineering told me that they were not sure how many people were affected, and until they had a count, they couldn’t update the status list.
Me: well if it is a known issue than I guess I will wait longer. I haven’t been able to use it since it was released
