iPhone App Reviews
iPhone Apps. They were great when the App Store was first announced and we could all pick and chose what we wanted, but the number is now overwhelming. Here at Appletell, we'll detail the great iPhone apps we find, and steer you clear from those that aren't worth it even if they're free.
iPhone Game Reviews
As Apple turns the iPhone into one of the most popular gaming devices, the staff of Appletell--gamers and Apple fans alike--are here to help you get the most entertainment value out of your app store purchases.

Interestingly, of the top 10 paid applications overall, six were game apps, three were music/entertainment app and only one paid application is used for business purposes. I don’t know about you, but I think this tell us something about how the iPhone (or iPod Touch) has become more of a gaming phone rather than a smart phone.
The pattern changes, though, when it comes to the top 10 free iPhone applications overall. The categories were varied, and only two game apps managed to get into the top ten: Tap Tap Revenge and Labyrinth Lite Edition. The rest belong to the entertainment, utilities and social networking categories. I could understand why games applications didn’t manage to make waves in the free apps category, since most of the free game apps are definitely something you would rather not install in your iPhone. Interestingly, Facebook is the only social networking-related app that managed to make it into the top of the download charts for free apps.
So, without further ado, here are the top 10 iPhone/iPod Touch applications, both free and paid, based on the number of downloads they received for 2008.
