Full Feed17-inch unibody MacBook Pro now shipping
At the beginning of February, we reported on a two week delay of Apple’s 17-inch unibody MacBook Pro. The letter originally stated they would ship on February 19th. Now, two day’s before that date, customers who pre-ordered the laptops are beginning to receive them. Some of these lucky people took photographs of the unboxing process, as seen above.
So, if you were an early adopter for Apple’s premium laptop, it should be arriving on your doorstep very soon. If you missed the opportunity, or have decided to wait, they should be available to purchase as Apple stated in the letter two weeks ago: 19th February.

Do you know if the shipping status for the order was ever changed? Mine still says 2/19…
on February 17, 2009 at 07:06 PM - LINKAs far as I’m aware, there’s been no official change from Apple. The 19th is still the target date for the MacBook Pro’s to hit the retail stores and be available as normal. Only pre-ordered MB Pro’s have been delivered, simply a few days early.

on February 18, 2009 at 11:18 PM - LINKWoke up this morning, and was pleased to see that my MacBook had started its journey from Shanghai, China to its new home in the States. They’re showing an estimated delivery date of February 25th, this coming Wednesday. So far, it’s just left Alaska for the Lower 48.
