Talk about creativity at it’s finest. Bullet Brazil, the brilliant company that came up with this idea, wanted to have an iPod Shuffle giveaway with their Unilever’s Kibon brand of ice cream. Now they couldn’t just put the iPod Shuffle in the packaging, because then people would search to find the one with the prizes. Instead, they had an idea. Freeze them. Freeze the iPods inside the popsicles.
Of course real ice cream wouldn’t work, because the humidity would wreck the iPods, so Bullet Brazil developed a fake ice cream that feels completely real, until you actually open the package, and find the iPod Shuffle. When they asked Apple about it, Apple turned them down, because they did not want faulty ipod Shuffles because of the cold temperatures of freezers. Well, after months of intense testing, the iPod Shuffles withstood the test of cold, and they will be frozen in 10,000 ice cream packages in Brazil this summer (yes, it’s summer for them). What’s next? McDonalds is putting iPod nanos inside their Big Macs?
