An iPhoto and a FileMaker helper are all we get in our Mac cup today. The iPhone, however, is filled to the brim. We get apps to enable VoIP, give you total confidence, teach your kindergartners, engage in some girl talk with Emily and doodle wars with Ship and Stick, stamp some tramps, learn the fate of Arok, stick it, store stuff, investigate Area 51, beat up on some robots, and plenty more. Appletell reviews WireWay for iPhone, iPod touch

WireWay is a game about Wiley the alien and his quest to find Elan (a precious energy source, not a kidnapped princess). You help Wiley on his way by launching him across a series of suspended wires. Wiley grabs the wires automatically, then you touch and drag down on the iPhone screen to adjust his velocity (a dotted line gives you a visual clue). Lift your finger, and watch the little guy fly up (or over) to, hopefully, the next wire. Reach your ship, and it’s on to the next level.

Macworld 2010 photo gallery [updated with booth babe]

If there’s one thing we’ve taken away thus far from our trip out to Macworld 2010 in San Francisco, it’s that the show has been a success. We’ll have a roundup article later this weekend with details on that, but in the meantime, we wanted to let everyone back home have a chance to see what’s going on in Moscone this year on the show floor, at the media events, and around the city (now complete with booth babe).

Macworld 2010: iPad Special Event

Apple may not have used Macworld Expo to announce the iPad, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t present. Cases are all over the show floor and many developers have been happy to discuss their iPad plans. We’ll have more on that later this weekend. But today, IDG held a special event roundtable with some of the precious few who have actually had their hands on one. What did they have to tell us about the forthcoming device? Not much at all.

The Shutter Island game is a hidden objects game where players take on the role of a U.S. Marshal as they attempt to locate patients that have escaped Ashecliffe during a recent hurricane. Macworld 2010: Appletell returns to Monkey Island with Telltale Games

As the good folks over at Gamertell reported today, it’s now official; Telltale Games has begun releasing their entire game catalog on the Macintosh. We had the opportunity to speak with Telltale CEO, director and founder Dan Connors about why they’re now embracing the Mac, and with designer/programmer Mark Darin about his work on Tales of Monkey Island. Alawar to publish 30 iPhone, 20 Mac games in 2010

This morning at Macworld Expo 2010, Alawar held a press conference to announce their plans for Apple gamers for 2010. The Russian company has published some of the more popular and successful iPhone games currently available—including Hotel Mogul and Farm Frenzy—and hoping to continue that success as they branch out to the Mac and iPad.
