Apple forgets to mention iDVD on the iLife ‘09 Box
While at the Apple Store today, purchasing iLife ‘09, I made an interesting discovery. Apple seems to have “forgotten” about iDVD on the iLife ‘09 Box. At the Macworld 2009 Keynote, earlier this month, Phil Shiller didn’t even mention iDVD. We found that odd, considering iLife has been a suite of five applications for a few years. The same is shown when visiting Apple’s iLife page; it says “iLife ‘09. iPhoto. iMovie. Garageband. iWeb. All part of every new Mac.”

Appletell reviews the Audioengine W2 wireless music adapter for iPod

The Audioengine W2 is a wireless music adapter compatible with the iPhone and iPods. There are two main components; the Sender and the Receiver. Setup is very simple; connect the Sender to your iPod via the dock connector, plug the Receiver into a powered USB plug (either the included AC power adapter or a computer), and connect the included wire from the Receiver to your stereo or desktop speakers. A mini-jack to RCA cable and a mini-jack cable are included in the box for connecting the adapters to your speakers.
Quick look: Pogo Stylus for iPhone, iPod touch

I recently had the chance to try out the Pogo Stylus from Ten One Design. It is one of few styli that is compatible with the iPhone and iPod touch. The design is quite simplea small fuzzy tip and a small pen, about the length of the iPhone. It comes with a clip for keeping it with the iPhone, but it still seems quite inevitable that many will be lost.
Steve Jobs releases letter with health details, confirming he will continue as Apple CEO

Earlier this morning, Steve Jobs and the Apple PR team released a letter with more details into Steve’s health. The letter talks about Steve’s current health conditions and what his role will continue to be at Apple, the CEO. He has made it clear in the letter that he will not be stepping down and will continue to serve Apple and the community.
Unibody MacBooks reportedly unstable after third-party RAM upgrades

Owners of the new unibody aluminum MacBooks are reporting that after third-party RAM Upgrades, their machines are becoming quite unstable and locking up.
There are a number of discussion threads on Apple’s support forums where users have complained about such issues dating back to mid-October.
It appears that if the MacBook is updated with Apple’s own RAM, supplied by Samsung, the issues do not occur, while if updated with RAM from popular suppliers such as OWC or Crucial, the Macs become unstable. The only reported fix for this issue; reinstall the original Apple supplied RAM.
It is generally recommended by Apple that users use Apple RAM for their upgrades, which generally is quite a bit more expensive. In the past, I have even gone with third-party supplied RAM due to the lower cost, but these reports would make me a little hesitant to go that route.
