by Patrick Lutz on Nov 17, 2009 at 03:13 PM

In a surprising move by Palm after its many “cat-and-mouse” games with Apple, the company has not included iTunes syncing capabilities in the latest version of its smartphone operating system. If you’re lacking one or both of these, I don’t recommend buying this product even though it comes with cables that enable its features without a Bluetooth receiver.

Apple’s discussion forums have begun to flood with threads by users complaining of poor performance on the company’s new 27-inch iMacs, which were introduced to the public last week. Several different performance issues have been reported, such as the inappropriate spinning down of the hard drive and corrupted Snow Leopard installations, although one issue seems to be most common—poor Flash performance (particularly video playback).

by Patrick Lutz on Oct 31, 2009 at 08:15 AM

The iPhone has finally officially launched in China, with one major feature missing: built-in Wi-Fi. A ban on Wi-Fi by the Chinese government had forced Apple to produce iPhones with Wi-Fi removed specifically for sale in China, but the ban on Wi-Fi had been lifted shortly after Apple started producing the modified iPhones.

by Patrick Lutz on Oct 30, 2009 at 09:49 AM

The current word is that most Apple retail stores have received and begun to sell the new Magic Mouse. We reported earlier that Apple had started giving out shipping notices to customers who bought the Magic Mouse online. I haven’t actually gone to my local Apple retail store, but have also heard from friends that the new mice were there.
