We have rumors gone true, folks. I like to call those trumors. Just as predicted, we have new unibody MacBooks (not Pro), Mac Minis (including a Server version), iMacs and the Magic Mouse. Quite a round of updates for Apple. I’m very surprised there wasn’t a press event or the like. Either way, I think Apple will be seeing a lot of our money today. Apple brimming with new computers and devices today?
Yes, it seems that Apple plans to refresh or update every product you already own in an attempt to make you lust for a new ones. We’re talking about new Mac Minis, iMacs and even a new iMouse! At least, that’s what the latest rumor says, and it’s all set to go down today.
Appletell reviews Elgato’s EyeTV for iPhone
Elgato’s EyeTV app for iPhone is nearly everything you’d want from a TV app. It shows what you’ve already recorded, it shows you scheduled recordings for the future, it gives you access to the TV Guide data you pay yearly for, it even streams past recordings (provided they’ve been converted for iPhone) over 3G, not just Wifi. And of course, the biggest feature here, it’ll stream live TV over Wifi, not just your home network.
Apple pulls EyeTV app from App Store due to 3G live TV streaming
Apple has pulled Elgato’s EyeTV app for iPhone from the App Store. Why? I like to think it’s because the app was too awesome, but they say the official reason is due to its hidden ability to stream live TV over 3G. Scosche’s tapSTICK for the iPod shuffle attempts to fix the biggest problem with Apple’s super miniature MP3 player: the controls/headphones. The tapSTICK takes the controls that started out on the headphone cable and moves them back onto the device. Or rather, on a case that slides over one side of the device. And I’m so glad that it does. The tapSTICK is moisture resistant, and it allows you to use any set of headphones that you want to.
Apple may enable dormant iDevice FM radio support
Listen up Rebel scum; Apple may soon be making the iPhone 3GS fully operational. What’s that? You didn’t know your iPhone 3GS hasn’t hit puberty yet? Well, soon you may finally be able to use that FM radio that’s been hiding inside of your iPhone 3GS and/or iPod Touch (2nd Gen) unbeknownst to you this whole time.
Major Snow Leopard bug could delete your data

But even if that didn’t get your attention, I hope you’ll continue reading because there are few things worse than losing your data. According to numerous discussions on Apple’s support boards, there’s a major bug in Snow Leopard that can delete all of your data with very little effort on your part.

Whoever persuaded App Store developers to quit charging for their apps this week, I don’t know who you are, but thank you. And keep up the good work. There are at least three apps in my list this week that are actually worth money, but you can have them for free. Quick, to the list, before they change their minds!

You may not have heard of Sleek Audio, but if you’re an audiophile, I hope you have. They’ve won awards for their products so far, and it’s safe to say I can hear why. The SA6s are an amazing set of earbuds that will bring audio to your ears the way it was intended to be heard. They’re different from other earbuds. Different even from other high end earphones available today.
