by Jake Gaecke on Nov 20, 2009 at 02:23 PM

It’s the week before the week that’s before Thanksgiving, so I’m sure you’re quite ready for the break from work next week. Of course, just because you aren’t at your day job doesn’t mean you don’t have more work to be done. That’s fine, this week I found a few apps to help, especially if you’re beginning to shop for the holidays. There are a few apps and games to help you find the deals and relax, possibly while waiting in line for said deals.

The rumors just keep rolling in on Apple’s now legendary tablet. Sadly, they don’t always get better. by Jake Gaecke on Nov 17, 2009 at 07:49 PM

The BoyGeniusReport received a rumor earlier this week that claims to have the details on Apple’s Black Friday plans. by Jake Gaecke on Nov 13, 2009 at 07:19 AM

In the past, Apple had not been fond of stylus or pen-based input, but it seems that ignorance of the pen is nowhere to be found when it comes to tablets. This July, Apple filed a patent for pen-based input for tablets involving what they call “ink phrases.” The patent details a different approach to handwriting recognition; instead of breaking down individual strokes, it attempts to recognize entire phrases.

Appletell reviews iStoragePro’s Pocket HDD

by Jake Gaecke on Nov 9, 2009 at 02:59 PM

iStoragePro’s Pocket hard drives replicate the look and feel of the G-Technology line of Mac inspired portable hard drives, but are they as good? Both look like they belong with a Mac. Both are bus powered over USB 2.0 or FireWire and include all possible cables (USB, FireWire 400 and 800). Both are well made and attractive. The designs are different, but the only obvious, external difference is the brand name. And honestly, on the inside, they are pretty similar too.
