Apple’s new 27-inch iMacs apparently experiencing performance issues
Apple’s discussion forums have begun to flood with threads by users complaining of poor performance on the company’s new 27-inch iMacs, which were introduced to the public last week. Several different performance issues have been reported, such as the inappropriate spinning down of the hard drive and corrupted Snow Leopard installations, although one issue seems to be most common—poor Flash performance (particularly video playback).

Is built-in Blu-ray support next for Apple?
The new iMac’s display ratio to 16:9 would allow the iMacs to play video in 1080p (high definition), hinting at possible Blu-Ray support in the near future.

Apple updates the iMac
Along with several other updates, Apple gave some lovin’ to the all-in-one machine, the iMac, boosting its display up to 27-inches with a 16:9 aspect ratio.
